Denise Ruth Woodall, PhD, is a sociologist, applied researcher, critical criminologist, structural inequality expert, and community engaged scholar. As an instructor, she combines her expertise in sociology, criminology, identity, drug use, and advocacy to empower students and drive positive social change. With a focus on intersectional and standpoint perspectives, Dr. Woodall's work explores the complex relationships between identity and the criminal legal system, global security, and social institutions that contribute to social stratification and inequality.
